Horton Grange is situated on the Blagdon Estate, about 4.8 km east of Ponteland, a 15-minute drive from the centre of Newcastle and 6.4 km from Newcastle International Airport.

Ponteland is a town which can be found in the southern portion of Northumberland, just over 11.3 km/ 7 miles north-west of Newcastle. The river Pont passes through the town, and there is a stone bridge of 2 arches over it.
