The inscription on the central arch, which refers to the year 1711, is considered to be relative to the remodeling works, which also benefited recently, for consolidation of the structure, resurfacing of the board and restoration of the walls.
The bridge consists of a rectilinear board, supported by three perfect back arcs, based on two pillars on the bed of the river, reinforced by seashells.
The bridge of Paderne, which also designate as Roman Bridge, is located on the Quarteira river, near the Castle of Paderne, and will have been built to serve the castle.
