Built by Dr. Santa Clara important scholar of the time. Initially it was called to this arch Gate of the Tempra, in reference to a combat of Knights of the Order of the Temple against the Moors, having broken the wall by this side. It is a legendary episode, typical of the time, hence the scenic construction of this arch.
