Bangkok
Bangkok is one of the most impressive cities in the world, being known as “The City of Angels”.
During the sacking of Ayutthaya by the Burmese, Generals Taksin and Chakri organized the dismantling of the city, including temples, houses and ramparts, sending them to Bangkok, where the city was rebuilt to the size of the former capital.
Today, Bangkok is a fascinating metropolis of ten million people with two very different physiognomies: that of the old city, with its 18th century palaces and temples, and the modern city, with its shopping centers and the most recent areas bathed in the River.

Tourism
Those who prefer to immerse themselves in culture will not miss a stroll along the Chao Phraya River, the enchanting "River of Kings". Among the many attractions worth mentioning are the Royal Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaeo). This part of the city, with its golden temples, spiral towers and glittering decorations, is protected by a white fortress.
El Wat Phra Kaeo is the personal chapel of His Majesty the King and is also the revered place of the Holy Protector of Thailand, the Emerald Buddha.
Other places of interest are the Golden Buddha Temple which houses an all-golden Sukhothai Buddha (1238-1378), the National Museum and the Floating Market, a picturesque aspect of Thai river life.

Gastronomy
Lovers of fine cuisine will not be able to resist the temptations of Thai food.
Thailand is undoubtedly a paradise for those who enjoy good cuisine. The richness of the ingredients, the refinement of the presentation, the great creativity and the exoticism make Thai cuisine one of the richest in the whole East. Rice is one of the foods never missing from the Thai table, serving in multiple ways: boiled, fried or in soup. In the northern zone, the cultivated variety is more gelatinous, being better known as “sticky rice”.
