Older than Shakespeare and set in its own grounds, Sampsons provides a welcome change from the usual anonymous motels, and corporate guests always appreciate the difference. Owned by the Bell family for over 35 years, Sampsons provides the perfect retreat in which to relax and unwind, with inglenook fireplaces and log fires in the winter.
Breakfast is served in the farmhouse dining room. Free range hens provide the eggs, and the choice of cereals, fresh fruit salad, full English cooked breakfast, toast and homemade marmalade should send you off ready for anything.
Meandering through the meadows, the River Teign makes a beautiful setting for walks just down the lane. Guests can also enjoy scenic, easy river walks along the Teign while at Sampsons. The restaurant is closed on Sunday evenings only.
